The Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Architects is a not-for-profit organization that promotes architecture and the profession within the province. The Association was registered in November 1949 and Incorporated by Act of the legislature in May 1956.
The Association is administered by an Executive Council consisting of six members.
The mandate of the Association is to promote and increase the knowledge, skill and proficiency of its members in all things relating to the profession of architecture; to advance and maintain a high standard in the provision of architectural services; and to promote public appreciation of architecture and the allied arts and sciences.
The Architects Licensing Board of Newfoundland and Labrador is a sister organization responsible for regulating the profession in the province. It was established by government in 2010.
